In an exciting announcement unveiled at the Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) Awards, held on October 24th in Marrakech, India has officially been named the Guest Country for FTA 2025!

Renowned fashion personality Isha Ambani, alongside Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the visionary Tania Fares, heralded this monumental collaboration which promises to spotlight India’s vibrant textile heritage and its deep influence on the global fashion landscape.

CELEBRATING INDIA’S ARTISTIC LEGACY AND CONTEMPORARY FASHION

This partnership goes beyond just showcasing fashion; it’s a cultural bridge that highlights India’s unique mix of tradition and innovation. Designers from India will have the opportunity to bring their creations to an international audience, backed by mentorship, financial support, and access to FTA’s global network. This initiative aligns perfectly with the values of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), a Mumbai-based institution dedicated to preserving and promoting Indian artistry.

FASHION TRUST ARABIA A PLATFORM FOR EMERGING DESIGNERS

The FTA Guest Country Award, introduced in 2021, has previously spotlighted Colombia, Turkey, Nigeria, and Spain. In 2025, India will join this distinguished list, creating a unique opportunity for cross-cultural exchange.

Mark your calendars, because the application process for designers eager to step into the spotlight begins in January 2025, culminating with the announcement of the winner in October 2025, right in the heart of Doha, Qatar.

Fashion Trust Arabia, founded under the patronage of HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, continues to elevate MENA-based designers on the global stage. With India’s involvement, FTA 2025 promises an inspiring fusion of tradition and modernity that will redefine global fashion.
