Whilst Kim Jones may be known for spearheading a plethora of collaborations through the Maison of Dior, his latest collab is an exciting one for all gamers out there.
The menswear Creative Director has designed new ground-breaking Dior gear – or ‘skins’ if you will – for the Gran Turismo 7 video game. The inaugural virtual capsule consists of a whole ‘fit: a yellow and gray jumpsuit, matching gloves, reimagined Diorizon shoes and a blue and gray helmet to match a customised vintage car, the De Tomaso Mangusta.
The specially conceived capsule continues to highlight the distinctive hallmarks of the house through Dior oblique motifs, CD Diamonds initials along with a ‘Christian Dior Atelier Avenue Montaigne’ patch emblazoned on the different creations. To further pay tribute to the Maison, the race car and driver’s silhouette features a final touch with the number ’47’ – the date of Christian Dior’s first trail-blazing fashion show in 1947.
The Gran Turismo 7 video game (available exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles) will be available from August 25.
