John Galliano will present his first menswear collection for Maison Margiela this month

At long last
The Men's Paris Fashion Week schedule has just had a rather exciting addition. Buro 24/7 Middle East has the details...

With London Men’s Fashion Week and Pitti Uomo behind us and Milan Men’s Fashion Week currently underway, there’s plenty of excitement in the industry about the new round of menswear collections. And, we were given yet another reason to celebrate this morning with the news that Maison Margiela is joining the Paris Men’s Fashion Week schedule

According to WWD, the collection will be the first “entirely created and developed under the direction of John Galliano.” Whilst Galliano has been responsible for the women’s collections since joining the house in 2014, up until now he has not been involved in the men’s.

Riccardo Bellini, Maison Margiela’s CEO, told the site, “Creating a new aesthetic language rooted in the maison’s couture spirit has always been at the core of Mr. Galliano’s creative vision for the future of the house. This collection will offer an elevated and powerful new foundation for men’s wear, strongly positioned within the luxury arena.”

The show will be held at the Salle Turenne of the Musée de l’Armée in the Hôtel des Invalides in Paris’ 7th arrondissement. Stay connected to Buro 24/7 Middle East to see the collection first. Now, see the highlights from day one of Men’s Milan Fashion Week.
