Milan has once again solidified its status as a global fashion epicenter. We’re halfway through fashion month, with New York and London Fashion Weeks behind us, and now we turn to one of the most anticipated events on the fashion calendar: Milan Fashion Week. Kicking off on September 13 for Spring/Summer 2025, this season featured a mix of iconic houses like Fendi, Prada, and Bottega Veneta, alongside emerging new talents. From Gucci's highly anticipated debut under Sabato De Sarno to Fendi's heartfelt tribute to Karl Lagerfeld, the week was filled with unforgettable moments. Milan Fashion Week SS’25 was not just about clothing; it pushed the boundaries of creativity and redefined luxury for 2025.

FENDI CELEBRATES ITS 100TH ANNIVERSARY

Fendi’s centennial celebrations kicked off with their Spring/Summer 2025 collection at Milan Fashion Week. Creative director Kim Jones paid homage to the style of the 1920s, specifically 1925, the year Fendi was founded. The SS’25 collection seamlessly combined ready-to-wear with classic couture of the twenties, showcasing sheer frocks with dropped waists, flapper dresses adorned with fringing, and knitted co-ords paired with boy shorts. These pieces exuded the flair of 1920s Art Deco glamour, reimagined for 2025.

Referencing the first ballerina shoes unveiled by the brand in the 1930s, the show showcased a delicate blend of structured tailoring and flowing silhouettes. Davis reinterpreted the past with second-skin cashmere cotton, tutu-like parachute dresses, and frayed denim. Low-waisted silhouettes, technical tracksuits, and sequined tailoring added an edgy touch, while understated accessories like folded leather handbags and geometric booties balanced elegance with minimalism.
