It’s official! Rihanna X LVMH confirm a Fenty fashion house

It's about time...
Finally! Rihanna and LVMH have both confirmed a fashion business is definitely in the works...

OK. We are seriously going to become bankrupt, thanks to Rihanna’s new fashion line.

After months (and months) of hype, both the singer and LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton have officially confirmed they’re entering the fashion business together and it will be under the Fenty umbrella.

We found out that Rihanna’s LVMH-backed fashion label is definitely happening earlier this year, and now, Rihanna’s first collection for the new label (branded Fenty) will be revealed much sooner than we think. Yep, that’s right. You’ll be glad to know that the collection will make its debut in Paris later this month.

According to Business of Fashion, the collection will offer “ready-to-wear and accessories, including shoes, sunglasses and jewellery”.

This marks a particularly special partnership for both Rihanna and the luxury giant. Fenty will be the first fashion brand to be launched from scratch by LVMH since Christian Lacroix (which was founded in 1987). Also, Rihanna is the first-ever woman to create an original brand at LVMH, plus the first woman of colour at the top of an LVMH maison — you go girl!

The singer-turned-beauty mogul has even pointed to a new Instagram account for the fashion house on her personal account, @badgirlriri.

Speaking of the collaboration, Rihanna said: “Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us. Mr Arnault [referring to LVMH Chairman and Chief Executive Bernard Arnault] has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits. I couldn’t imagine a better partner both creatively and business-wise, and I’m ready for the world to see what we have built together.”

We’re certain the collection will be a hit success following Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty line. The beauty brand launched in partnership with LVMH beauty incubator Kendo and nearly generated roughly Dhs2.1 billion in its first full year in operation.

That’s it. Just take all of our money.
