It’s no surprise that Jennifer Lawrence is the star of Dior‘s Pre-Fall ’19 ad campaign. The actress has previously lend her star power to the maison for a few years now (can you believe it’s been since 2013?) and for the trans-seasonal collection, the Academy-award winning actress continues to epitomise the effortless characteristics of the range — think chic, redefined and an instant wardrobe staple.

The campaign — both in the form of a short video and captivating images — was shot through the lens of American photographer Zoë Ghertner, as she captures how Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri pays homage to the house’s birthplace through the collection.

The Dior muse is dressed head-to-toe in the brand’s Pre-Fall ’19 ready-to-wear collection but, what really stood out to us was a striking new handbag silhouette, the ‘30 Montaigne’ bag.

Inspired by the historic Paris address where Monsieur Dior founded his couture house in 1946, the new icon of the maison has taken our handbag obsession to the next level with its feminine and distinct characteristics.

The collection overall is an ode to craftsmanship as it boasts timeless, yet modern, aesthetics. For example, Maria Grazia Chiuri (who was in Dubai for S/S’19 Haute Couture show) highlighted the traditional essence of the house through the iconic Bar jacket and paired it with a crisp white shirt, a sheer pleated skirt with slingbacks.

The campaign also saw a selection of new classic leather bags with customisable metal clasps and what really caught our eye were the natural materials (think wool, silk, cotton, lace and denim) that brought the collection to life.
