“Poetry Of Birds”
EXHIBITION AT L’ÉCOLE MIDDLE EAST
IS PURE INSPIRATION.

At BURO, we’ll admit it, we’re exhibition addicts.
There’s something irresistible about stepping into
a space where art, craftsmanship, and imagination collide. The kind of experience that leaves you wanting to linger a little longer, think a little deeper, and (
let’s be honest) bookmark your next visit before even leaving the room. It’s the reason we chase these moments, exhibitions that remind us how creativity moves, transforms, and connects us.

And when an exhibition like L’ÉCOLE Middle East’s “Poetry of Birds” lands in Dubai during Dubai Design Week, it feels like a love letter to everything we adore: symbolism, storytelling, and the exquisite craftsmanship of jewelry that tells tales far beyond its sparkle. It’s exactly the kind of cultural flight we never want to end, and yes, we’re already wishing for more.

This November,
L’ÉCOLE Middle East, School of Jewelry Arts, supported by Van Cleef & Arpels,

is bringing a new kind of brilliance to Dubai Design District (d3)
with the unveiling of “Poetry of Birds”, an exhibition that lands in the city

from November 6th, 2025, and runs until April 25th, 2026
and you know where to find us!

After enchanting audiences in Paris and Tokyo, Poetry of Birds now takes flight in Dubai with a captivating perspective: the dialogue between 19th and 20th-century Western jewelry and Islamic arts, bound together by the most delicate of threads, poetry. Expect a treasure trove of pieces from legendary houses, Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Buccellati, Fabergé, Boivin, JAR, and more, alongside exquisite Middle Eastern artworks on loan from the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization and Dubai Museums. Think: carpets, ceramics, metalware, miniatures, and a visual ode to the birds that have inspired artists, poets, and jewelers for centuries.

Adding a contemporary lens, Emirati artist Faisal Al Rais will make his public debut with striking photography that captures the poetic essence of birds across the Middle East and beyond. Freely inspired by Farid al-Din Attar’s mystical masterpiece The Conference of the Birds (circa 1117), the exhibition unfolds like a visual poem, from verses by regional poets to jeweled falcons and, finally, a fantastical aviary of imaginary birds dreamed up by French jeweler Pierre Sterlé (1905–1978).

A CULTURAL FLIGHT DURING DUBAI DESIGN WEEK

Timed to coincide with Dubai Design Week 2025 (November 4–9), Poetry of Birds promises to be a cultural high note in the city’s creative season.
On Saturday, November 8, L’ÉCOLE will host a lively Open House Day with course demonstrations, kids’ workshops, guided tours, and interactive activities, a day designed to make the world of jewelry arts accessible, inspiring, and fun for all.

Through this exhibition and our cultural program, we’re weaving together jewelry, poetry, music, calligraphy, and design, It’s an invitation to explore how Middle Eastern heritage and Western craftsmanship meet through shared symbols and storytelling.
